I think Stardock should replace their splash screen for SkinStudio "The only thing better than a facelift...". I think this is sending a bad message. I for one am butt ugly, and I don't want to see that facelifing or cosmetic surgery are commmon options for the ordinary outb there... Comments are welcome.

I dunno, it isn't like it is saying "Get Thin - PUKE" or anythying like that.

Well, it's there... Do you like the message?

Personally it doesn't bother me because that ( surgeory ) is a personal choice. I don't think it is going to cause anyone to have an shocking revalation that they will in fact setup an appt with a doctor 5 minutes after reading. But I guess if someone was really ragged on/or and has self image issues it could cause them some discomfort which would not be a good thing.

But then again I do define "Ugly" as being visually applied as in (someone looks ugly), but as in (someone is ugly inside, or becomes ugly inside)...

Looks are superficial to me...

Surgey IS a personal choice... But there are a lot of people who are influenced by those messages - I'd rather not see that happened

Ugly, but with pride!!!

Well, I must admit, for such a fine product that SKS is, the splash screen leaves a lot to be desired. After all, Stardock is the epitomy of customization.

Besides,it's the meaniing, not the intended message response, that's important.

face-lift n (1934) 1: a cosmetic operation for removal of facial defects (as wrinkles) typical of aging 2: an alteration, restoration,, or restyling (as of a building) intended esp. to modernize - face-lift vt

That's the definition....never saw the word ugly in it once

So you say this is a good practice do you? Of course you don't find the referance "ugly" in there. But what do you think the "not so beautiful people" find in that referance? Are you defending this practice? Please clarify...

I'm too drunk to discuss this at the moment - anyone else? I will resume this tomorrow...

Yes, I think the alcohol could quite certainly be a major fact in this irrational objection.
Come back tomorrow when you can be suitably embarrased by the whole affair.
